      Primary Responsibilities

      • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy. 
      • Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise. Administers and executes routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations, attending disciplinary meetings and terminations.
      • Works closely with employees and provides necessary information, resolves issues.
      • Provides recommendations and/or participates in the talent acquisition process.
      • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (Eg. ACA, FMLA, FFCRA, FLSA, HIPAA etc.), and follows recommended best practices; prepares/reviews/updates policies and practices and maintains compliance. Keeps employee handbook updated.
      • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
      • Addresses specific issues related to health insurances with Insurance company/ broker.
      • Reviews and/or audits, new hire documents, health insurance enrollment material, insurance invoices, premium tables etc., and reviews and takes part in selection of renewal insurance policies.
      • Works closely with payroll department and prepare reports for 401k, Census, etc.
      • Prepares and sends updates and mandatory notices (e.g. enrollment notices, annual notices etc.) to the employees.
      • Reviews requirements and sets up accounts for Out of State Employee such as, UI Accounts, Withholding Account etc. Completes Business Registrations where required.  Manages Tax Rate notices and keeps CPA office & Payroll processing company updated.
      • Evaluates and processes, UI claims, Worker’s Compensation claims, Wage Garnishment Orders.
      • Completes employment verification for past and current employees.
      • Works closely with Senior Managers and assists, helps and/or completes any other task/s assigned.

          Education

          • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
          • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred.
          • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
