The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) encountered similar challenges within its Division of Agriculture, where manual workflows, siloed systems, and an aging Informix platform slowed licensing, inspections, and compliance monitoring. To address these challenges, RIDEM partnered with Kyra Solutions to implement Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS), creating a centralized, digital-first platform for agricultural licensing and regulatory services. The new solution streamlined more than 36 license types and supports over 30,000 applications annually through a secure self-service portal, mobile inspection tools, and real-time analytics dashboards.
